Over due fines are .10 cents a day with a maximum amount of $5.00 per item. No charges accrue on days that the library is closed. Patrons with fines of $5.00 or more will have their privileges suspended.
Patrons will be mailed a total of three notices when material is overdue. The third notice will include billing for the replacement cost of the material plus overdue fines. The patron's library privileges will be suspended until the overdue material is returned or paid for in full. If not paid in full, patrons will be deleted from the system after three months. In order to be reinstated, all charges must be paid in addition of a $5.00 reinstatement fee.
Our staff checks all materials for damages when they are checked back in. Please let us know when accidents happen. We ask that you do not attempt to repair torn pages, etc. as we have special materials used for mending. Some items are damaged enough to be notified by mail. You will be charged for damage or replacement costs if warranted, while the item was checked out to you. Patrons have thirty days from the date of notification to come in and view the damaged item(s). After that time the item(s) will be cleaned, repaired or replaced.
You may place a hold on any item (except hotspots) currently checked out.
We will notify you by your preferred contact method once your material is available. The item stays on hold for one week before it is put back out for the general public.
